    After both my husband and son having to have emergency surgery in the past 3 weeks I am hoping for a quiet uneventful week at home with friends and family.

    I don't expect any Christmas gifts this year. I don't live near family and I told my husband not to buy me anything. I'm going to take advantage of the holiday sales and buy myself some new clothes and boots. I'm going to keep buying books that go on sale, as well.     I don't really want anything for Christmas. I would just like to be able to spend time with my family especially my great niece and nephew. They are 2 1/2 and 1 and are just so much fun. I started teaching my niece how to juggle so her gift from me is a whole juggling/clown theme.

    My older brother past away in August. He was also my husband's best friend. This first Christmas without him is going to be hard.
