Do you listen to audio books?  I tried one but it just doesn't seem to be my thing.

  3. I've enjoyed a few audio books. The narrator is what makes or breaks the listening.

  4. I agree with you...audio books are not for me. The characters in my head don't sound the same as the ones I hear while I am listening. I also like the narration to go at a faster pace than what is offered. Too bad there is not a 'speak faster' button included. msdebms(at)aol(dot)com

  5. I tried a book once. I loved the convenience but didn't like the mans voice inflections, I felt it was boring. I read in my head with alot more emotion and varying speed depending on intensity of story but I didn't feel I got that from the book. It was holding me back! lol I thought it was just him and want to give it another try. Happy Mother's Day! =D

  8. I love audiobooks. They make working out time fly faster.

Audiobooks add to the story, but it depends on the narrator as well as the author. A good narrator can make or break a book

  9. I've tried samples, but I don't know. It really depends on the narrator. People's voices can bother me.

    Thanks for the chance!

  12. I've only done audiobooks in school with my students. We're currently listening to Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief. I'm not terribly invested in the process because I gravitate toward reading the written word. Have a good weekend!

  14. I usually just can't stay focused or do not care for the readers' voice. I like to read myself. saltsnmore at yahoo dot com

  15. I picked one up at a used book store and I absolutely loved it. I bought a second one, and I hated it. It really does depend on the voice behind the story, but I don't have the money for the trial and error of the ride, so I'll stick to the written word.
    Happy Mothers' Day weekend!
