What are some of your pet peeves while reading?

Repetition is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.

  1. It bugs me when an author writes men talking formally. I stopped reading several authors because of that. :p
Thanks for the post, have a great weekend! =D

  2. Simple editing errors are a pet peeve for me. I teach my Sp. Ed 6th grade students which form of their/there/they're they need to be using constantly, so it's hard for me to read a book when simple errors occur frequently.

    Have a good weekend!! McElroyJ(at)Gmail(dot)com

  3. I agree with you repetition drives me nuts! Have a NICE weekend. exbuffalo2001(at)yahoo(dot)com

  4. On and off, then on and off and then on and off once again in a relationship. For the love of God, just go find someone else!!!! hahaha Lots of Editing errors also really annoys me.
    Have a great weekend!!! XOXO

  5. Repetition does the misuse of singular and plural. Drives me crazy re-reading the sentence(s).
A major point is when the story narrates the resolution to any given conflict or event rather than me getting to see the characters discuss or even live through the event that brought them together or made their bond stronger. What's worse? The authors didn't understand what I was talking about even when I provided examples in their books.
Thanks for the opportunity! Have a fabulous weekend!

  6. I have to agree with you on repetition. I also hate copy cats.
    Have a great weekend!!

  7. Word repetition, the super innocent virgin, the girl that every guy on the planet wants, too many sex scenes and not enough plot, men's point of views that sound like women talking, people that can have about 6 orgasms in a row...yeah I guess I have a lot :) Thank you! saltsnmore at yahoo dot com
