~My Five Star Review of Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren~11/10/13

Beautiful Stranger (Beautiful Bastard, #2)Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren

~Five Marvelous Max Stella Stars~

Oh boy do I have a beautiful stranger for you all to meet, that is, if you haven't yet! He is tall, sexy, funny, rich & breathtakingly British! He is one Max Stella!

This man had to be well over six feet, with a torso it would take my hands many moons to explore.

There is not one thing I didn't enjoy about this book! While it contains many, fantastic, sexual encounters that most would never do in real life it also has great characters that will have you laughing as well as hot and bothered. I fell in love with Sara and Max. I enjoyed the first book Beautiful Bastard but this one surpassed it for me.

Sara is out with the girls at a bar when she first meets Max. Sara finds herself intrigued by this beautiful stranger and vice versa. Needless to say there is chemistry between these two and I needed a fan at under 10% in.

"You're drunk. Too drunk for this? I want you to remember it if I fuck you." "So make it memorable."

So we continue the story with more intense and extremely, heated situations, but what Max is trying to figure out is who Sara is because she seems to be some what of a mystery to him. He is quite comical and besides the fanning I seemed to need on their exhibitionism I found myself laughing and grinning from ear to ear.

"We're establishing a pattern here, Sara. You come, you go."

As the story (yes, there is a story here besides all the sex) progresses we learn a bit more about Sara. She was in a relationship with Andy for six years prior to her moving from Chicago to New York. He was a politician and unfaithful to her during their relationship. She doesn't want to fall in love with anyone or be in a relationship so she decides to establish some ground rules with Max. By the way he also calls her Petal from the very beginning of the book and even later after he learns her name.

"This feels so organized. That hasn't been our modus operandi, to date, little Petal."

While their escapades continue things begin to change. Max is completely smitten with Sara and intrigued by her every move. Sara rather enjoys the way things are playing out but she too seems to miss him and finds herself changing the rules. He is so charming but most importantly sincere and Sara, because of her past finds herself asking

"Why are you so nice? she whispered....

to which he replied

"I'm nice because I'm genuinely fond of you."

I enjoyed watching their relationship change from what started out as strangers having sex to two people who grew very fond of each other. However, Sara still continued to be a mystery to Max. She liked the fact that he didn't know the previous Sara. So would this continue or would she eventually open up and would these two fall in love?

I devoured this book and I highly recommend it, in fact I recommend them all even though I have only read two of them. The stories are great and while there is lots of sex and chemistry, there is humor and love. I felt like I was right there in the story with them. With all that being said if you haven't read them. Give them a try because I don't think you will be disappointed.
